Marqeta engineers, in coordination with Visa, have identified and verified the resolution steps for the duplicate clearing transaction issue affecting September 18th transactions.
Engineering teams are currently finalizing the remaining transaction exception processing. We anticipate transaction postings and settlement reconciliations will be fully remediated for all impacted programs by tomorrow. We will provide a final update once full resolution is confirmed.

On Monday, September 21, 2026, at approximately 03:56 PT (10:56 UTC), Marqeta was notified of an issue affecting duplicate clearing transaction processing and settlement reconciliation on Visa. This may cause delays in clearing and settlement posting and transaction reconciliation for impacted programs from transactions on September 18th. Currently Marqeta engineers are continuing to remediate the 11,000 duplicate Visa clearings held in transaction management. We will update this page again upon any substantial change in the status of the incident.
