An upstream networking vendor has confirmed an outage in us-east-1, confirmed the root cause, and have taken mitigating actions. We are no longer seeing impact. We are continuing to monitor to ensure services remain stable. We will update this space again upon any notable change in status.

Resolved - On Saturday, September 26, 2026. Marqeta detected an issue affecting stand-in transaction processing (STIPs) and transaction declines with impact start time at approximately 5:31 PM PT. We immediately engaged our upstream infrastructure provider, who identified the root cause and applied a fix, restoring full connectivity by approximately 6:00 PM PT that same evening. Marqeta engineers continued monitoring systems closely throughout the weekend to confirm stability, and we observed normal transaction processing with no recurrence of the issue. This incident is now resolved. We appreciate your patience throughout this incident.
